My first REAL wedding post!! How fun! :)

Here are the details so far!

Bridesmaids:

These are my two maid of honors, Emily and Andrea.  They are both my best friends and I couldn't choose between the two!

These are the other two bridesmaids, Adam's sisters, Andi and Kira.

Groomsmen:

This is Steve, the bestman.

This is Jon, Adam's friend.

This is Joel, Kira's husband, Adam's brother in law.

This is my brother, Dave.

That's what I got so far!   I have a couple of flowergirls and a ringbearer in mind but I have to talk to their mom first and I don't have any pics of them.  We have to ask ushers as well. 

Besides the bridal party, we are just working on the guest list and researching reception sites.  I will post some of the sites that we are looking at later! :)

ADAM AND I ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!

I turned 21 on March 8, engaged on March 9!

 I was NOT expecting this at all!  Adam and I hung out all day yesterday making puppy chow and jello shots for my birthday party.  He was acting totally normal, though a bit happier than usual.  I figured he was excited to see me drink later that night...  We got ready to go out to dinner about 5:30.  Once we were seated at the table we ordered drinks.  Right when we got them Adam says, "Are you ready for your other birthday present?"  It took me a minute but all of a sudden it hit me...  He says something along the lines of, " I was going to wait but I figure this would be a good time to do it.."  and he gets up and down on one knee and I didn't hear a word he said after that because I was FREAKING out.  I could barely breathe!  He told me later that he said something like, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want to support and love you.  Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife? "  I said yes.... yes!  And he asked if he could put the ring on now!  He put it on and finally got up.  Everyone around us was looking!     Then the ladys next to us ordered us wine!  I could barely eat my dinner I was so excited! I didn't cry right then but I called my parents and told them and then I started crying!  It was the perfect night to do it because all my friends came over for my birthday party and none of them knew so I got to tell them all!

How did you meet: We met at a homecoming dance at his school.  I went with his friend!

How serious is it: Very.  I want to marry him!  I think he wants to marry me too.. :)

What bothers you the most about him: How I have to remind him of things a few times before he does it for me.. but we are working on that!

Does he embarrass you in public: Yes!  Sometimes he randomly dances around... it's so embarressing.. and one time he wore my pink scarf and acted gay.. it was so bad..

Is he a Party dude or Stay at home?: Stay at home.. watching tv on dvd! lol  but he can party too...

Would he hang out with you and YOUR friends?: Yep, but all my friends are his friends.. They have all merged together by now!
Sing?: He sings amazing.. tho he won't admit it.. He even wrote me a song and sang in on a cd for our 6 month... I'm still waiting for another one!

We went and looked at rings again last night!!  :)  We pretty much figured out exactly what we want to get.  I'm so excited!!! 

First, we went to Talsma's Jewelers.  It's a family owned place and the lady was SO nice!  We brought Adam's Grandma's ring in and she told us how we could put the diamonds in a new band.  It would only cost about $250 which is not bad.  It would be so cool to use his Grandma's ring!   I found a band I like in their catolog but it was hard because I couldn't try it on.  Then, we looked at solitaires.  They have estate jewelry there, which is previously owned.  We didn't like any of the rings but she said we could pay the price of the ring and then just take the diamond out and put it in a new setting.  She showed us a ring with a 1/3 carat in it and it was only 350!  Then a new setting would be $100-150!  That would be a GREAT deal for a solitaire!  Who cares if the diamond is used!  Plus the diamond was colorless which is really good.  Most colorless 1/3 carat rings in the mall are $1000.  I absolutely loved the diamond.  I really hope he gets that one!

Next, we went to the mall and stopped by Reeds because I really wanted to try on that ring from my previous ring post.  I tryed it on and it was gorgeous!  Then we talked to them about using his Grandma's ring and they showed us some settings we could put the diamonds in.  They were all about $250 as well!  One of them they had in stock and I tryed it on with the solitaire and I fell in love!!  It was so gorgeous!!  I wish I could find a pic online but I can't...

Anyways, now it's up to Adam to figure out where and what he wants to buy....  You guys will have to wait until he proposes to see the ring all done!!  I'm so excited!!!! 

Oh, and we also went to Barnes and Nobles.  I found some really cute books!  I looked at wedding planning books but I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't buy one until we are engaged! lol

It's so cute because you can write all your memories down from your first date all the way up to your first year of marriage.  I really want to get it when we get engaged!

I also found two other books that I thought would be fun for Valentines Day and our anniversary. 

They have cute little things in there that you fill out about each other!  I really like that All About Us one.  I think I might buy it on half.com.  We are trying to do things cheap for our anniversary this year so I think this would be a fun little thing to do!  For Valentines Day, I got a cute idea in my Seventeen mag to do.  You each take $5 only and spend 30 minutes in Walmart, a flea market, etc.  and find the cutest or funniest gift for each other.  I thought that would be so fun! :)  For our anniversary I was thinking that it would be fun to go to a planatarium and look at the stars! :)  I told him that he is not aloud to buy me anything because he is saving for something else.. lol  Plus, my 21st birthday is fast approaching and that'll take money too!
